Beatrice Baker playing Gypsy Airs
Beatrice Baker is
15 years old and lives with her parents and three brothers in
Hyde Park. Bea started taking violin lessons at the age of
four with Marion Peraza de Webb and has loved studying with her
for 11 years. She is a member of the Peraza Music Workshop
and Vivace Ensemble, which perform regularly around Cincinnati
at the Art Museum and the Taft Museum, in pre-Cincinnati
Symphony Orchestra concerts at Music Hall and at Luminocity with
the Pops. She is also a member of the Cincinnati Symphony
Youth Orchestra Philharmonic. This spring, Bea will travel
to Chicago with the Peraza Workshop and to New York City with
the CYSO to perform at Carnegie Hall.
As a sophomore at
Walnut Hills High School, Bea is an honors student and loves
learning about human geography and chemistry. She has been
a member of the Walnut Hills Chamber Orchestra for four years.
In addition to being a wonderful sister, her other interests
include studying ballet and participation in many activities
through school and church. She particularly enjoys the
